With smaller hook, ch 7.

1st row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn.

Rep last row until Waistband measures, when slightly stretched 18 (19-21-23-26-29)" [45.5 (48.5-53.5-58.5-66.5) cm]. Do not fasten off.

Front and Back (Make 2 alike)

Foundation row: (WS). Ch 2. 1 hdc in each sc across. Turn.

1st row: (RS). Ch 2. 1 hdc in sp between first 2 hdc. (1 hdc in sp between next 2 hdc) to last hdc. 1 hdc in last hdc. Turn.

2nd to 8th rows: Rep last row 7 times more.

9th row: (Inc row- RS). Ch 2. 1 hdc in sp between first 2 hdc. (1 hdc in sp between next 2 hdc) 9 (11-12-14-12-12) times.

2 hdc in sp between next 2 hdc. *(1 hdc in sp between next 2 hdc) 9 (10-11-12-10-11) times. 2 hdc in sp between next 2 hdc. Rep from * to last 11 (12-14-15-13-14) hdc.

Wrap Panel

With larger hook, ch 56 (63-70-77-87-94) through top left edge of Panel with Tie Chain to hold in place.

1st row: (RS). 1 hdc in 2nd ch from hook (counts as 1 hdc). 1 hdc in each ch to end of chain. Turn.

Rep last row until Wrap Panel from beg measures approx 18" [45.5 cm] (same length as Front and Back after waistband).

Finishing

With smaller hook, make chain 18" [45.5 cm] long. Fasten off.

Sew side seams.

Fold Waistband in half to WS and sew loosely to form casing leaving a space to insert elastic.

Cut elastic to fit waist measurement.

Insert elastic through casing and sew ends tog securely.

Sew opening in Waistband closed.

Sew right side edge of Wrap Panel to right side seam of Skirt, aligning bottom edges and making sure seam is hidden in side-seam.

Fold Tie Chain in half and attach at halfway point to left side seam of Skirt, 2" [5 cm] below bottom of Waistband, leaving 2 ends of chain of equal length hanging free.
